Trust in God.
By Jenny Trejo
I want to share with you these two verses that have been a great blessing in my life.
Philippians 4:6-7 says:
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
I don't know if this happens to you, but I would tend to worry a lot. I would worry about any little thing. I imagined an entire movie in my head. I imagined all the scenarios that could happen and that stressed me out a lot. It made me nervous and tense. I had already exhausted everything I could do to solve the problem or situation I was going through.
One day while reading the Bible in Philippians 4:6-7, each word I read in the passage was just what I needed at that moment.
Glory to God for that!
I began to put into practice what He told me to do, not to worry, but rather to pray. We all already know this we just have to put it into practice. Everything changed, now every time a situation wants to take over me, I pray and give it to the Lord. I will not deny, it is difficult to let go or let go of what worries you. The Lord also helped me with that.
In Matthew 7:7-11 says:
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; He who seeks, finds and to him who knocks, it is opened. Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, do you give him a snake? If you, even though you are evil, know how to give good things to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
I asked Him to help me do what He wanted me to do. He listens to me and helps me every time something arises that could take away my peace and joy. He helps us so that we can obey and do His will. Now I can enjoy that peace that surpasses all understanding and He guards my heart and my mind and in this way I no longer make movies in my head nor does my heart become sad.
Let us stay in prayer to be strengthened and put into practice what His word tells us. The entire Bible is full of advice for dealing with all areas of life.
In Psalms 119:105 it says “your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path”, so brothers, let's read and put his word into practice.
