God is with me!

Text: Psalms 56:3 “But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.”

Theme: Faith over Fear Title: Feed your Faith not your fear

Faith is a deep trust and confidence in God, even when circumstances are uncertain or unseen. Hebrews 11:1 defines it as “the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” It is not just believing that God exists but trusting in His character, promises, and guidance.

Fear is an emotional response to a perceived threat, danger, or uncertainty. It can be a natural and healthy reaction that helps us avoid harm, but it can also become overwhelming and paralyzing when it takes control of our lives. The Bible often contrasts fear with faith, calling believers to trust in God rather than be ruled by fear.

Faith provides strength and stability in difficult times, offering peace and hope when facing challenges.

Gives strength in Difficult Times – Faith helps us endure hardships, knowing and trusting that challenges are temporary and that we can overcome them with God.

Provides hope and positivity – It gives us hope for the future, even when things seem uncertain or difficult.

Guides Decision-Making – Faith provides moral and ethical principles that help us make good choices in life.

Brings INNER PEACE Peace – Believing in God can bring comfort, reducing stress and anxiety.

Encourages RESILIENCE – Faith teaches patience and perseverance, helping us bounce back from setbacks and strengthens us to thrive forward.

Fear will paralyze Decision-Making – Fear can make it difficult to step forward in faith and obedience to God.

Fear will increase Anxiety and Stress – Living in fear leads to worry and emotional distress.

• Limits Growth – Fear keeps us from pursuing God’s calling and embracing the new blessings.

• Weakens Faith – Constant fear can cause doubt in God’s promises and presence.
